Our 3-2 Engineering program enables you to build your way to two engineering degrees from two institutions in just five years

Challenges Welcome, Breakthroughs Expected

As a 3-2 Engineering major, you’ll spend three years at Scripps and transfer to an engineering school for two years. Scripps has longstanding agreements with Columbia University and Harvey Mudd College. You can also apply to other programs.

As a graduate of the program, you’ll be able to:

  • Identify basic physical principles
  • Create frameworks for these principles
  • Translate frameworks into equations
  • Analyze problems to completion
  • Use computers to simulate physical systems
  • Analyze and assess results
  • Communicate results verbally or in writing

Learn More

Our 3-2 Engineering program is offered through Scripps College. You must petition for participation in the program to the Committee on Academic Review during the fall semester of your junior year. Our Management Engineering program is available for interested Pitzer students.

The career paths for engineering students are numerous: mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, aerospace, electrical engineering, technical writing, consulting, and careers in the civil, agricultural, and environmental fields.
