The Department of Natural Sciences offers 3-2 engineering programs through Pitzer and Scripps Colleges.
In the first three years, you’ll gain a foundation in the humanities and sciences before transferring to an engineering school for another two years. Emerge from the five-year program with a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Science.

You can also choose to continue your education after your undergraduate work is completed. On the 3-2 Engineering path, you can often get a master’s degree in Engineering after one additional year instead of the traditional 2-year timeline.

3-2 Engineering
The Scripps 3-2 Engineering program gives a breadth and depth of learning beyond just engineering. Drawing from a liberal arts education, you’ll inform your engineering practice through the sciences, social sciences, humanities, and more. A 3-2 program also gives you more time and options to see if engineering is right for you. This degree is offered through Scripps College.

Management Engineering
Earn two degrees in five years through Pitzer’s dual-degree Management Engineering program. You’ll do three years of coursework at the Department of Natural Sciences, immersing yourself in engineering fundamentals. Then you’ll embark on a 2-year journey at another prestigious institution, like Columbia University or USC, to deepen your engineering skills. This degree is offered through Pitzer College.
